Hi Everyone,
I know it's been a while since I added any posts to this blog but it's been busy. So here's an update of a couple of the highlights and a promise to be more dilligent about posting things!
I attended the open house at Boudicca House and was really surprised at what a beautiful old house it is. I was able to tell the people there that the Auxiliary will be supplying computers, a printer and loads of office supplies for their new career center.
The last week of August was National Convention. There is always so much going on. Commander Wayne and I had the privilege of leading the Wisconsin delegation in the parade. Convention sessions were very interesting and as usual, quite educational. Wisconsin was the recipient of several awards that will be presented at Fall Forum. We had a great time at the Commander's Banquet and the States Dinner, fun to get all dressed up to go out. It was a good week, but a very tiring one, lots of walking.
Tonite First Gentleman Bob & I had the privilege of attending a fish boil at the Cedarburg Post that was actually sponsored by the Grafton Auxiliary. Seems Grafton had an issue with road construction by their Post so Cedarburg stepped up and offered their Post for this event, a perfect example of working together!! I had never been to a fish boil before so it was a great experience. These wonderful, dedicated Auxiliary members hosted this event for the fourth year with proceeds donated to Honor Flight. I was great to see so many of the members participating in this wonderful event.
Till next time...
