What a great weekend!  Last night along with a record-breaking crowd of 28,442 veterans and their families, I had the privilege of attending the Field of Honor Program at Miller Park.  The program was great and the film "Honor Flight" was awesome.  The 78-minute film that explained how Honor Flight was established and followed WWII Veterans on their trip to Washington DC to see their memorial was beautifully presented and left few dry-eyes in the crowd.  I felt so fortunate to witness this amazing tribute to the WWII veterans.

This morning I was invited to attend the program at the Wisconsin State Fair that honored various groups for their service to Wisconsin veterans.  Governor Scott Walker and Lt. Governor Rebecca Kleefisch assisted VA Secretary John Scocos in presenting the awards.  Department Vice Commander Chuck Roloff and I had the privilege of meeting both of our elected officials and getting our pictures taken with them.
